Jelly Belly Factory – A Sweet Tour
“He had a broad face and a little round belly, that shook, when he laughed, like a bowl full of jelly.” – Clement Clarke Moore No, it isn’t Christmas, but it IS Jelly Belly art! I never knew there…

Haunted Adventures
Happy Howl-o-ween! What better time to share some spooky adventures, than on Halloween?! In our travels, we have visited places that are said to be haunted. I thought I would share a few … Colonial Park Cemetery – Savannah, GA Savannah, one of the oldest cities in Georgia, is full of haunted stories and ghosts of the past! The Colonial Park Cemetery in the middle of historic downtown, is full of history and spooky stories! This cemetery is the final resting place for many of Savannahs residents. Established in 1750, it filled to capacity (despite being expanded several times) when Yellow Fever swept through the city in 1820. By…

Hiking Chimney Rock
Our latest adventure is taking us just north of San Francisco. Follow Sir Frances Drake Boulevard as it winds its way through the Point Reyes National Seashore area, and at the very end, on the eastern most tip, you will come to an area called Chimney Rock. It is here that we decided to hike around a little bit and see what we could find. The Drive The destination is only a part of any adventure. Another part, sometimes overlooked, is the drive getting there. As our travels have taken us along to so many different areas, I have learned to take notice of the drive. So much passes…

Lands End In San Francisco
“Where land ends, and sea begins…” If you had .30 cents to spend in San Francisco, what would you do? If it were the late 1800’s, you could take a train ride along the coast, and hang out in one of San Francisco’s unique entertainment spots – The Sutro Baths! For just .30 cents! Unfortunately for us, it is well past the 19th century and the Sutro Baths are no longer with us. On the other hand, the ruins are still here, and it doesn’t cost anything – not even .30 cents – to walk the edges of the pools, smell the salty ocean air, and hike the cliffs…

Three Days In Dyer
Leaving Las Vegas The days in Las Vegas had been long and hot. There was no escaping the heat, even with the air conditioners running and the shades pulled, the temperature in the RV hovered at a consistent 85 degrees. Outside, it was around 115 degrees. This was our third time staying here at the Famcamp at Nellis Air Force Base. It was the second time that we had placed ourselves here in the early heat of summer. Like last year, the time had come to look for a place in cooler temperatures. The next time we stay here – it will NOT be in the summer months! Finding…

Love Them, But Leave Them – The Burrowing Owl
Owls come in all shapes and sizes, with about 19 different species of owls in the United States alone. While some owls are able to adapt really well throughout the world, there are some species who are struggling to survive. This post is about one of the species that is struggling – the Burrowing Owl. My first encounter with a Burrowing Owl was about three years ago when we first visited the Las Vegas area. The owl was sitting in the gravel, in the middle of the day, as we walked past. I’m not even sure how I noticed it, it sat so still and blended in with the surroundings. …

Old Town Mesilla – Las Cruces, New Mexico
“…It’s downtown Old Mesilla, Friday night La Posta, with friends and margaritas…” -Bri Bagwell “Las Cruces” It had been a long day of driving through the big state of Texas, so when we pulled into the rv park in Las Cruces, it was nice to know we could relax for a day. We got set up, and since it was supper time, decided to google a place to eat. We…
